TEHRAN, Dec 3: Iran has started the construction of a new nuclear power plant with a capacity of 300 megawatts in the country's southwestern province of Khuzestan. Launching the new plant, Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Mohammad Eslami said the 300-megawatt Karun nuclear power plant will increase the country's industrial and technological capacity. Situated along Karun River near Darkhuin City in Khuzestan Province, the new nuclear power plant will use light water in nuclear power generation (KUNA)
