KUWAIT CITY, Dec 29: Iraqi authorities have rescinded visa requirements for Kuwaiti citizens traveling to Iraq to attend matches of the 25th Gulf Cup championship due in Basra between January 6-19, the Kuwaiti Consulate in Basra said Thursday. Kuwaiti citizens' cars will also be relieved of customs, taxes or insurance duties during the period of the tournament, the consulate said in a statement.
However, it underlined that they should follow the security instructions and guidelines of Iraqi authorities, according to the statement. The 25th Gulf Cup is due in Basra on January 6-19, 2023. Iraq, the six GCC states, and Yemen will partake in the tournament.(KUNA)
