JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia, Jan 28: The second edition of the Islamic Arts Biennale in Jeddah showcased a captivating blend of valuable Islamic artifacts and contemporary artworks, bridging the gap between the artistic traditions of the past and present.
The Biennale, which runs until May 25 and is titled "And in Between," is the first of its kind in the world, dedicated to celebrating Islamic arts. It offers a unique platform for reflection, renewal, and research into this rich art form through its diverse exhibits and cultural program, which includes workshops, community initiatives, and seminars.
Organized by the Diriyah Biennale Foundation, the event presents an exceptional opportunity for visitors to experience contemporary artworks alongside pieces loaned from leading international institutions specializing in Islamic arts, such as the esteemed Kuwaiti Al-Sabah Archaeological Collection.
