KUWAIT CITY, Mar 9: Just hours after the Criminal Security Sector closed a case involving the robbery of a doctor’s vehicle by arresting an unemployed Kuwaiti citizen in the Seville area, a similar incident occurred in Jahra. A 28-year-old Kuwaiti citizen reported to the Jahra police station that he was forcibly robbed, and his 2000 Korean-model vehicle was stolen. The victim stated that the perpetrators assaulted him, stole his mobile phone and bank card, and used the card to purchase items from local grocery stores.
According to the victim’s account, the incident occurred around 1:00 AM on Wednesday near a wedding hall in Jahra. He was in his vehicle when three unidentified individuals forcibly stopped him, compelled him to exit his car, and drove away with it. The assailants also stole his iPhone 15, a wallet containing personal documents, and a bank card. The victim further revealed that the accused used his bank card to make purchases worth 11 dinars.
The victim provided a medical report detailing injuries sustained during the assault, including pain and bruises on his legs and shoulders. He also submitted details of his stolen vehicle and the thieves' vehicle, described as a white American-model car, along with a bank statement showing unauthorized transactions at a grocery store.
A security source confirmed that the Deputy Public Prosecutor was notified and ordered the case to be registered as a felony. Detectives were instructed to investigate the incident, apprehend the perpetrators, and circulate a description of the stolen vehicle. Jahra detectives visited the crime scene to review surveillance footage from cameras near the wedding hall, aiming to expedite the investigation and bring the case to a swift resolution.
