KUWAIT CITY, July 20: The Court of Appeals ordered a jewelry shop at a famous shopping complex in Al-Rai Area to pay KD2,000 in compensation to a Kuwaiti woman they deceived into purchasing a diamond ring at a price higher than the quality and purity agreed upon. Representative of the plaintiff Lawyer Dana Al-Ibrahim said her client was at the complex to buy a diamond ring and demanded a particular type but she was given a low quality item instead.

This was confirmed at the laboratory of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. The plaintiff thereafter sought judicial redress for mental and material damages she suffered.
