"IT IS enough for a person to be betrayed once he shows loyalty to traitors." – This proverb applies to some Arabs, especially those who turn their backs against those who have stood by them, and who express gratitude to those who deceived them and used them to achieve their own agendas.
These individuals even turned against their brothers who struggled for over a year to put an end to the war, not only in Gaza but also in Lebanon. Instead of acknowledging the favor, at least in a statement from the leaders of those Palestinian militias, they chose to offer their sincere gratitude to Iran!
We are not surprised by those who have long been accustomed to denying favors, for they have closed their eyes to the truth.
Ismail Haniyeh was assassinated in Tehran, and Iran took no action. It only issued empty and meaningless statements and slogans. Furthermore, Iran denied any knowledge of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, despite having incited it on October 7, 2023.
However, when a truce was announced for the Gaza Strip, some Palestinian faction leaders rushed to express their gratitude to Iran and its allies in Lebanon. They ignored the fact that real support had come from the Arab Gulf states, especially through air bridges, from the time of Hamas’s coup against the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah in 2007. During all the wars Gaza has witnessed, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and other Gulf states were the ones to shoulder the diplomatic and relief efforts to stop these wars and speed up reconstruction.
There are many cities and neighborhoods that these countries have established in the Gaza Strip, yet they did not receive any gratitude from the leaders of the factions that dominate the authority in that afflicted area. Instead, the militias have used the podiums of mosques to incite against the Gulf states in the most severe manner.
Therefore, it is not surprising that the leaders of Hamas and others, who live off Iranian crumbs, spit on the plate they ate from and slap the hand extended to help their people. The reason is simple: they are fundamentally disconnected from their people and live in towers where they have abandoned their Arabism.
Thus, the militias ignored the 1,280 Kuwaiti trucks loaded with aid, 1,200 Saudi trucks, 1,000 trucks from Egypt, and 650 Emirati trucks. On the other hand, Iran—whom they excessively thanked—did not send a single tablet of medicine or a bag of flour, nor treat a single wounded person. The Arab and Gulf countries, however, treated many injured individuals and established field hospitals in most areas of the Gaza Strip.
After everything that happened during those 471 days, Hamas and Jihad have proven they are not worthy of ruling the Gaza Strip, which is home to about 2.5 million Palestinian people who live under extremely difficult conditions and are subjected to arbitrary practices by those factions. These factions work to fulfill the Iranian agenda and show no regard for their people’s legitimate rights.
They did not know how to save their country; instead, they became deeply involved with Iran, which destroyed Syria and committed atrocities there, as well as Lebanon, after spreading sectarian strife, and used Gaza to further its own agenda of avoiding sanctions and circumventing the blockade imposed on Iran.
Now, with Trump back in the White House, the leaders of the Iranian regime are increasingly aware that time is running out and they have no choice but to submit.
This means that those who placed their bets on the leaders of Iran must reconsider their alliances and stop building sandcastles on the shores of the Gaza Strip, as the waves of developments will soon demolish them. It is necessary that these factions relinquish power and instead focus on saving their people from these absurd adventures.
It is time for the Palestinian people to live under better conditions and have an internationally recognized national authority. This authority should be capable of compelling Israel to accept the solution of establishing a Palestinian state, which has already been recognized by about 135 countries.
The world is still waiting for a Palestinian negotiator who knows how to impose conditions on the enemy, rather than someone who tortures his own people, brings death, destruction, and devastation upon them, and then expresses gratitude to Iran for the massacre it helped create.
