Job Seekers to Be Matched with Qualifications, Not Preferences

KUWAIT CITY, April 17: To streamline employment placements, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) has confirmed the coordination and agreement to nominate several citizens registered in the Central Employment System with specialized qualifications, for vacancies in specific government agencies.

Responding to inquiries regarding the CSC’s authority to nominate job seekers to one of the five preferred government entities selected by applicants, official sources clarified: “Nominations are made strictly following the requirements of each government agency. There are no pre-defined roles or workplace details for graduates; selections are based entirely on institutional demand.”

The sources further explained that job seekers holding diplomas or bachelor’s degrees in specialized fields are nominated upon request from relevant agencies. “There is an ongoing coordination to train a select number of candidates to meet the specialized needs of these agencies,” they added.

As for cases where candidates decline job offers in their field of specialization or refuse placement at the requesting agency, sources confirmed that the CSC will nominate the individual based on qualifications obtained before their diploma or bachelor's degree.

In a related update, CSC sources stated that the rankings for job seekers registered in the employment system over the past 90 days will be announced on the 25th of this month. The bureau's staff reportedly work overtime to make up for delays caused by the Eid Al-Fitr holiday. Their efforts are focused on reviewing applications, finalizing pending documents, and ensuring all registration procedures are completed within the designated timeframe.

The ranking results will be communicated to each registered applicant through the “Sahel” application or the official CSC website.
