Kate Middleton enjoys a rare solo outing while shopping for glasses in London
Kate Middleton spotted shopping for glasses during a low-key London trip

LONDON, Jan 25: Kate Middleton enjoyed a solo outing in London earlier this week for some light shopping in the city’s upscale Notting Hill neighborhood.

The 43-year-old Princess of Wales looked stylish as she stepped out for a visit on Tuesday evening, bundled up in a chic navy wool coat from Max&Co., which she also owns in camel and pink. She paired the coat with gray Sézane trousers, accessorizing with a Smythson bag, diamond leaf-shaped earrings, and a plaid scarf.

During her outing, the mother of three was seen browsing a selection of glasses at Finlay & Co, a luxury brand known for designing its frames locally. While it's unclear which frames she selected, she was spotted leaving the store with a shopping bag in hand. Middleton is a long-time fan of the brand and has previously been seen wearing their sunglasses on multiple occasions. Inside the store, she chatted with staff members as she searched for the perfect pair of frames.

It’s believed that after her outing, the royal spent the night at nearby Kensington Palace before returning to her home in Windsor the following day.

Fans on social media were quick to praise the future queen for her down-to-earth nature. One person wrote, “Great to see her out and about just doing everyday things,” while another added, “Lovely to see her enjoying some time out on her own. It does a world of good.”

This outing follows the announcement that Princess Catherine’s cancer is now in remission. However, despite the positive news, she isn’t yet diving back into her full schedule of public-facing duties. Instead, the princess will ease into the year, taking on a lighter workload compared to her usual calendar. Currently, her schedule does not include any large foreign tours, and it may take some time before she returns to the royal fold in full, as her recovery continues.

Nonetheless, the public can expect to see the beloved princess at key events, such as the Trooping the Colour ceremony, which is reportedly her “No. 1 priority” for royal engagements.

Earlier this month, Princess Catherine celebrated her 43rd birthday and enjoyed a post-Christmas ski trip in the Alps with her husband, Prince William, and their three children—Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.
