LOS ANGELES, Jan 30, (Agencies): Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, is now recuperating at her Windsor residence after undergoing abdominal surgery, according to a statement from Kensington Palace. The 42-year-old royal was discharged from The London Clinic on Monday, 13 days post-surgery. She resides in Windsor with her husband, Prince William, and their three children.

In a statement released on Monday, Kensington Palace shared, "The Princess of Wales has returned home to Windsor to continue her recovery from surgery. She is making good progress. The Prince and Princess wish to express a huge thank you to the entire team at The London Clinic, especially the dedicated nursing staff, for the care they have provided."

The Wales family is appreciative of the global well-wishes, as mentioned in the statement: "The Wales family continues to be grateful for the well wishes they have received from around the world."

The announcement of Princess Kate's planned abdominal surgery was made by Kensington Palace on January 17, with the procedure successfully completed at The London Clinic the previous day. The statement mentioned, "The surgery was successful, and it is expected that she will remain in hospital for 10 to 14 days, before returning home to continue her recovery. Based on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter."
