KUWAIT CITY, March 3: Kazma secured a commanding 103-83 victory over Sulaibikhat in the ninth round of the basketball league, while Al-Qurain triumphed over Al-Nasr with a 98-79 win. With this result, Kazma moved up to third place with 15 points, while Sulaibikhat now sits in seventh place with 12 points. Al-Qurain climbed to fourth place with 14 points, tying with Al-Nasr, which holds fifth place.

The tournament follows a two-division league format, with the top four teams advancing to the Golden Square. In the semi-finals, the first-place team faces the fourth, while the second meets the third. The semi-finals are played in a best-of-three "play-off" system, with the winner of two matches securing a spot in the final.

Notably, Sulaibikhat had previously defeated Kazma 85-75 at the start of the tournament, in the same round where Al-Nasr edged past Al-Qurain 80-79.
