KUWAIT CITY, Oct 27: The Kazma Club first handball team departs for Cairo to conduct an international training camp in preparation for the 27th Asian Club Championship for League Champions, set to take place in Doha from November 13-24.
The Kazma delegation, led by Club Treasurer Omar Al-Mulla, includes game manager Salem Abdul Salam, administrator Tariq Al-Subaie, media coordinator Nasser Al-Fadhli, Serbian coach Radric Bozo, goalkeeping coach Hamdi Al-Maraq, physical trainer Abdullah Thaqib, physiotherapist Darko Antik, and technical analyst Walid Al-Enezi, along with 20 players: Hamed Al-Sulaili, Saud Al-Dhuwaihi, Mohammed Mufreh, Fahd Al-Rawdan, Mohammed Jawad, Saad Al-Haidari, Hussein Al-Kandari, Mubarak Bakhit, Ibrahim Al-Amir, Fawaz Al-Mishari, Abdulrahman Al-Shammari, Abdul Aziz Al-Masoudi, Abdul Aziz Khaled Al-Najjar, Abdulrahman Al-Enezi, Turki Al-Khalidi, Hamad Al-Dashti, Abdul Aziz Al-Dhafiri, Abdulrahman Al-Sabaj, and Tunisian players Anwar Bin Abdullah and Mohammed Farad.
The recent tournament draw placed Kazma in Group B with defending champion Saudi Gulf, Omani Ahli Sidab, Qatari Al-Duhail, and Iranian Mes Kerman. Meanwhile, Kuwait Club another national representative in the Asian Championship is in Group A with Qatari Al-Rayyan, Iraqi Al-Karkh, Emirati Sharjah, and Bahraini Al-Shabab.
Salem Abdul Salam noted that the management is currently in talks with five foreign professionals, from whom two will be selected to join Kazma for the Asian Championship. He stated, “The team will return to Kuwait on November 8, then travel to Doha on November 10.”
Abdul Salam emphasized that Kazma's goal in the "Doha Asian Championship" is to compete for the title, commending the club’s management for their continued support and the team’s strong roster of local and professional talent.
