KUWAIT CITY, June 23: The Kazma Club handball team has signed former national team star Saud Al-Duwaihi for the upcoming 2024-2025 season. The team, runners-up in the Premier League last season, is preparing for a busy season featuring numerous local and international competitions. Kazma will compete in the Federation Cup Championship, which was postponed from last season, as well as the Super Championship, League, and Cup. Additionally, they will join Kuwait Club in the 27th edition of the Asian Club Championship, set to take place in Qatar this November.

The “Sons of Adailiya” have also renewed the contract of Serbian coach Bozo Rodic for another season, following the team’s strong performance last year. Tunisian professionals Anouar Ben Abdullah and Mohamed Farad remain under contract for another season as well.

Dr. Musaed Mufarreh, Director of the first team, emphasized the club’s commitment to preparing the handball team thoroughly for the new season. He noted that renewing Coach Rodic’s contract was well-deserved, given the team’s runner-up finish in the Premier League.

Regarding local player contracts, Mufarreh confirmed that most of the team’s key players, including goalkeepers Turki Al-Khalidi, Abdulaziz Al-Dhafiri, Abdul-Rahman Al-Shammari, Fahd Al-Roudhan, Muhammad Mufreh, and Saad Al-Haidari, will remain with the “Orange.” However, player Mishari Taha’s contract has expired.

Mufarreh also mentioned that the team will organize an external training camp before the start of the Asian Club Championship, including the addition of foreign professionals to strengthen the squad for the continental competition.
