KUWAIT CITY, Aug 31: Kazma has signed Tunisian coach Lassad Al-Shaabi to lead the team for the current season, replacing Mohamed Dahilis, who resigned immediately after the conclusion of the third round of the Zain Premier League. Kazma secured only 3 points from 3 matches, dropping to sixth place in the league standings.

Coach Al-Shaabi arrived yesterday morning and began his duties in the evening, ahead of his official debut in upcoming matches. Kazma is set to face Al-Tadamon on September 14, Al-Qadisiyah on the 21st, and Al-Fahaheel on the 28th in the league. Al-Shaabi brings a wealth of experience, having previously coached Ried, Ratchaburi in Thailand, Al-Ittihad Monastir in Tunisia, Raja Casablanca in Morocco, Etoile du Sahel in Tunisia, Difaa Hassani in Morocco, and Al-Suwaihli in Libya.

His achievements include winning the Tunisian Cup with Al-Ittihad Monastir, the African Confederation Cup with Raja Casablanca, and the Arab Club Champions Cup. Kazma has completed its foreign player signings by bringing in Nigerian Kingsley Sokari, who becomes the fifth international player on the team. Sokari joins the ranks of foreign players Reda Bencha (Algeria), Rafael Guimaraes "Dodo" (Brazil), Ahmed Arsan (Jordan), and Hansel Zapata (Colombia).

In a related development, Kazma recently drew 1-1 with Al-Salmiya in a friendly match held at Thamer Stadium. Hansel Zapata scored for Kazma, while Abdulaziz Marwi netted the equalizer for Al-Salmiya.
