LOS ANGELES, Oct 18, (Agencies): Kelly Clarkson is all about authenticity. The 41-year-old singer and talk show host made a significant life change, relocating her family and her eponymous show from Los Angeles to New York, bidding farewell to her role as a coach on The Voice.

In her candid reflection, Clarkson admitted to doubting her decision, saying, "I'll be real honest: I thought I was making a horrible decision." She recognized the need for a fresh start and a departure from L.A., although her heart was initially set on Montana. The practicality of continuing her show led her to choose New York.

Clarkson and her children have embraced their new life in the bustling metropolis, expressing their genuine affection for the city. This move also prompted her to step away from her coaching role on The Voice.

Clarkson revealed the deeper reasons behind her departure, acknowledging, "Full disclosure, I put on a smile a lot of those times because I was struggling a lot in my personal life." She reflected on the past four years, a period of personal growth and understanding of her own limits. This self-awareness led her to bid farewell to 'The Voice' and embark on this significant relocation.

Having served as a coach on 'The Voice' from season 14 through season 21 and later returning for season 23, Clarkson had built strong connections with fellow coaches, including Blake Shelton, John Legend, Nick Jonas, Gwen Stefani, Ariana Grande, and others. However, she expressed her inner turmoil, saying, "I love that family, but I was like, 'I'm struggling. I can't smile anymore. I don't feel like smiling.'"
