Kenny G and ex-wife Lyndie Benson.

LOS ANGELES, Nov 30, (Agencies): Kenny G, the renowned saxophonist, and his ex-wife, Balynda "Lyndie" Benson, are embroiled in a legal battle over a lavish Malibu mansion that Kenny allegedly rented for a staggering $600,000. The ex-couple, who parted ways in 2012 after a 20-year marriage, has been grappling with ongoing legal disputes related to their divorce terms.

The conflict escalated in October 2021 when Kenny sought to terminate his monthly spousal support payment of $40,000, citing a decline in his income due to reduced touring and career setbacks over the past few years. Represented by celebrity divorce attorney Laura Wasser, Kenny argued his case, but in April 2023, a judge ruled in favor of Benson. The court documents revealed that Kenny declared earning $600,000 monthly solely from rental income.

Following this ruling, Benson is now pressing to examine emails elucidating Kenny's claimed six-figure rental deal. In a filing dated Nov 27, she alleges that Kenny's Malibu mansion, known as "Grayfox," was leased to an entity associated with billionaire Amazon founder Jeff Bezos for $600,000 per month, commencing in April 2022. Benson has repeatedly requested access to all related emails and documentation, a plea Kenny has rebuffed, citing privacy concerns.

A spokesperson for Kenny declined to comment on the matter. In addition to the rental dispute, Benson accuses Kenny of violating their divorce agreement by retaining ownership of the house and earning rental income instead of selling it, potentially denying her a share of the profit.

Referring to a specific clause in the divorce agreement, Benson's filing states that if the Grayfox Property is eventually sold for more than $40,000,000, she is entitled to 25% of the net profit exceeding this amount. However, Kenny's attorneys countered on Nov 27, asserting that there is no court order mandating the sale of the Grayfox Property in their divorce agreement. They argue that Benson's potential payout is contingent on Kenny's decision to sell the property.

Kenny G and Benson tied the knot on April 5, 1992, and officially separated on Jan 9, 2012. The ex-couple shares two adult sons, Noah Reed and Maxwell Benson.
