KUWAIT CITY, Feb 23: The Kuwait Football League (KFL) 2025, organized by the Keralite Engineers’ Association (KEA) for the players under the various alumni players of the Kuwait Engineers’ Forum (KEF), was held on February 14th at the Duraar Complex Ground in Riggae, Kuwait. The event was filled with intense competition, thrilling football, and an electrifying atmosphere. It brought together players and spectators from across the KEF community for a day of unforgettable action.
The tournament kicked off at 8 AM with high-energy matches showcasing the skills of seasoned players and rising stars. The crowd was treated to stunning goals, powerful shots, acrobatic scissor kicks, and bicycle kicks, all while the referees ensured smooth and fair play throughout the day.
The final match saw Venad Warriors emerge as Champions with a, 1-0 victory over Thiruvalla Reds. Both teams fought hard, and the match kept the crowd on edge until the final whistle, culminating in a thrilling conclusion to a highly competitive tournament.
Event Commissioner Mr. Pramod Kumar played a pivotal role in overseeing the successful execution of the event and contributed significantly to the event's seamless organization.
The six participating teams—BLUE PULIS, MARK RANGERS, NOVA ROYALS, THIRUVALLA REDS, VENAD WARRIORS, and WHITE MISCHIEF—demonstrated excellent cooperation and teamwork, making the event a memorable success. The players gave their all on the field, and the staff behind the scenes worked tirelessly to ensure everything ran smoothly.
A standout moment of the day was the presence of the esteemed Ex-International Indian cricketer, Mr. Venkatapathy Raju, who attended as the Chief Guest for the finals between Venad Warriors and Thiruvalla Reds. He was warmly welcomed by KEA General Secretary Mr. Renju Abraham and later felicitated by KEA President Mr. Ebey Samuel. His inspiring words added an extra layer of prestige to the event, making it even more memorable for all attendees.
The day also featured an exciting Flash Mob performance by KEA children, which added a lively and energetic atmosphere to the event.
The Prize Distribution Ceremony recognized the outstanding performances of players throughout the tournament. KEF GC Mrs. Hanna Shan, along with all the Alumni Presidents, presented the awards to the deserving winners in various categories as follows:
