Key security and traffic strategies discussed at Ministry of Interior meeting

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 12: His Excellency the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, chaired a security meeting with the Assistant Undersecretaries of the Ministry of Interior on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Lieutenant General Sheikh Salem Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.

At the outset, Sheikh Fahad welcomed the attendees and expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Ministry of Interior in maintaining national security. He then reviewed the Ministry’s key work plans with the Assistant Undersecretaries, focusing on security and traffic management across the governorates and regions.

A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to discussing the Ministry’s field sectors' readiness for the start of the 2024/2025 academic year. Sheikh Fahad received a detailed briefing on the coordination mechanisms between various sectors and the traffic plans set to be implemented. The meeting also addressed the measures taken to alleviate traffic congestion, particularly in areas that faced issues at the beginning of the previous academic year, in collaboration with relevant ministries and authorities.
