Kuwait Olympic team hold training on the eve of their friendly game.

DOHA Oct 14,: Kuwait's Olympic team have been warmly received by Al-Annabi as they gear up to play Qatar at the Thani Bin Jassim Stadium within Al Gharafa Club. The friendly encounter is a part of both teams' preparations for the upcoming Asian Cup finals set to be hosted in Doha in April 2024.

The coaching staff, under the guidance of Portuguese coach Emilio Peixe, is determined to prepare the team meticulously for this important match.

Peixe selected a roster of 24 players, featuring both experienced and new talents. The new additions to the squad have been given an opportunity to showcase their skills as some players have moved up to the senior team. Notable inclusions in the squad are Abdul Rahman Al-Fadhli, Fahd Al-Azmi, Othman Al-Dosari, Moaz Al-Anzi, Hassan Hajiya, and many others.

Meanwhile, the first-team coach of Kuwait, Portuguese Rui Pinto, has intensified the squad's training as they prepare to face the Syrian team in an upcoming friendly match during their camp in the Emirates. The team had a day of rest following their recent match against the UAE national team, where they were beaten 1-0. Coach Pinto is keen on addressing the errors made during that game to ensure better results in the future.

In a related development, the Asian Football Confederation has unveiled a distinguished list of nominees for the 2022 annual awards, to be held in Doha, Qatar, making a return after a four-year hiatus. The Football Association of Kuwait is in the running for the "Best National Federation" award in the gold category, competing with the Hong Kong and Nepalese federations. Additionally, the platinum category features the federations of Iran, Japan, and Uzbekistan, while the diamond category includes the federations of Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, and Vietnam.
