KFH Assigns Haitham Al-Terkait as Deputy Group CEO Transformation, Technology and Operations

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 12: In line with its commitment to enhancing the role of national expertise and competencies in leadership positions, Kuwait Finance House (KFH) has assigned Haitham Abdulaziz Al-Terkait as Deputy Group CEO Transformation, Technology and Operations. This assignment aligns with KFH’s strategy to implement plans aimed at strengthening its position in the Islamic banking industry and keeping pace with the latest advancements, particularly in digital transformation and technological services. Al-Terkait’s extensive experience in information technology, coupled with his professional qualifications, makes him a valuable asset to the Group. Since September 2023, he has held the position of Group Chief Technology, Digital Transformation, and PMO Officer.

With a professional career spanning nearly 30 years, Al-Terkait brings a wealth of experience in the banking sector, making him a significant addition to the Executive Management team thanks to his contributions to the growth and development of KFH’s plans and expanding the scope of its future projects, leveraging the latest global technological advancements. This comes at a time when KFH Group places digital transformation and technological advancements at the forefront of its strategic priorities. 

Al-Terkait oversees the implementation of plans, projects, and programs that support technological advancements and comprehensive digital transformation at KFH. These initiatives aim to enhance the customer experience in a highly competitive and rapidly evolving banking landscape. KFH focuses on innovation and transitioning to fully integrated digital banking services, with an emphasis on data security, cybersecurity, advanced analytics, cloud computing, and process automation through artificial intelligence.

Al-Terkait obtained his BA in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Metropolitan State University in the US in 1989. He has also participated in several leadership training programs from institutions such as Harvard Business School.

He has held the position of Chief Information Officer at Kuwait Finance House since May 2021. In addition, he serves as an executive board member in Ahli United Bank – Bahrain, and a board member of International Turnkey Systems Group (ITS).

Throughout his professional career, he has held numerous prominent leadership positions including Infrastructure Services Department Manager at Kuwait Finance House from 2002 to 2012, board member of the Shared Electronic Banking Company (KNET) from 2014 to 2018, and Chief Technology Officer at Warba Bank from 2012 to 2021.
