KUWAIT CITY, November 4: In line with its commitment to supporting students, education, and youth, Kuwait Finance House (KFH) organized a series of lectures and workshops for university students, aimed at preparing them for the job market and guiding them in planning their career paths.
A dedicated team from KFH's Human Resources Department conducted lectures and workshops in accordance with memoranda of understanding (MOUs) signed between KFH and several universities. These agreements aim to strengthen collaboration and coordination in training, education, talent acquisition, and year-round educational and social activities. The MOUs further strengthen KFH's prominent role in supporting student and academic initiatives, thereby promoting educational advancement and scientific research.
KFH Executive Manager Recruitment, Abdullah Al-Khamis, said that the initiative aligns with the KFH’s strategy to support students, education, and youth. Additionally, the initiative highlights KFH’s keenness to support students in their career paths through best grounds and methodologies. He emphasized that investing in youth is a long-term strategy for fostering a prosperous future for both individuals and Kuwait.
A series of lectures and seminars
Al-Khamis pointed out that KFH organizes a series of lectures and seminars that encompass the essential keys to success in defining future careers. They also shed light on the importance of embarking on this journey and leveraging all available opportunities to achieve success. This can be accomplished through self-development and engaging in student activities and events that significantly contribute to personality development.
He indicated that the purpose of the seminars and workshops is to equip students and young professionals with the necessary skills to craft a professional resume, prepare for job interviews effectively, and approach the process with confidence and a positive mindset.“They also focus on the transition phase, from academic to professional life, by providing an overview of governance principles, career development, organizational structure, as well as fundamental aspects of institutional operations,” remarked Al-Khamis. He stressed that these considerations are crucial for professional success.
Al-Khamis emphasized the importance of part-time jobs that align with students' majors in various sectors.
He added that the internship opportunities are equally important in providing students with hands-on job experience, including commitment to the role and interaction with colleagues, supervisors, and clients.
