KUWAIT CITY, Dec 28: Kuwait Finance House (KFH) successfully concluded its inaugural Hadith Memorization Competition, the largest of its kind in Kuwait, with significant participation and prizes totaling up to KD 10,000.
In a closing ceremony, held in Arraya Hall, KFH Acting Group Chief Executive Officer, Abdulwahab Iesa Al Rushood and KFH Chairman of Fatwa and Shari’a Supervisory Board, Professor Dr. Sayyid Mohammed Al-Tabtaba’e attended the event along with other KFH officials.
During the ceremony, 30 winners from three age groups were honored. The first group is for ages 6 to 11 (30 hadith), the second group is for ages 12 to 17 (60 hadith), and the third group is for ages 18 and above (90 hadith). 10 winners were selected from each group.
KFH Acting Group Chief Executive Officer, Abdulwahab Iesa Al Rushood, expressed pride in the significant participation in the competition. He commended the competitive spirit among the participants and congratulated all winners across all participating age groups.
Al Rushood pointed out that this initiative is part of KFH's commitment to social responsibility and its eagerness to launch impactful initiatives that serve the broader community and demonstrate the Bank's CSR leadership.
He added that KFH has consistently been a pioneer in such social initiatives that positively impact society. "Aligned with the principles of social responsibility, these contributions support education, healthcare, and sports. They empower innovators, entrepreneurs, individuals with special needs, and young people. KFH's initiatives include awareness and education programs, further enhancing the bank's reputation for quality achievements and social contributions,” remarked Al Rushood.
He further explained that the Mishkat Al-Nubuwwa competition is one of several competitions designed by KFH, such as the annual Holy Quran recitation competition for the public and employees (now in its 10th edition).

Meanwhile, KFH Chairman of Fatwa and Shari’a Supervisory Board, Professor Dr. Sayyid Mohammed Al-Tabtaba’e, commended the significant participation of all age groups in these impactful initiatives that contribute to the promotion of Islamic and ethical values.
He congratulated all the winners on their excellence and dedication in memorizing the Sunnah of the Prophet (the Hadith). He also commended the blessed efforts behind organizing such events that encourage the community to follow the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him).
Al-Tabtaba’e emphasized the profound impact these efforts have in cultivating generations committed to carrying the message of Islam and its noble values. He further affirmed KFH’s commitment to organizing purposeful community contributions that reinforce noble principles.
