KUWAIT CITY, Jan 11: In line with its commitment to social responsibility and supporting vital sectors and projects for Kuwaiti youth, Kuwait Finance House (KFH) participated as a strategic partner in the inauguration ceremony of Ya Hala Shopping Festival.
Ya Hala Shopping Festival is a national initiative encompassing economic, commercial, cultural, and entertainment activities. It contributes to stimulating the economy, aligning with Kuwait's national and festive occasions. Held from January 21 to March 31, the festival offers 70 days of promotional campaigns featuring discounts and special offers from participating companies and retailers. The festival also includes exciting raffles with prizes exceeding $8 million, including both cash and in-kind rewards.
On this occasion, KFH Deputy General Manager Public Relations and Media, Yousef Abdullah Al-Ruwaieh, said that KFH`s participation in this new national initiative, the largest of its kind, underscores the bank's commitment to its social responsibility and its leading role in supporting initiatives that enhance key sectors and serve community and development. Notably, this includes initiatives that stimulate the economy and invigorate trade and sales activity within Kuwait.
He added that the Ya Hala Shopping Festival is a distinctive initiative that contributes to enhancing Kuwait's shopping experience within the region. This positively reflects on commercial activity and the national economy through promotional offers and discounts that encourage consumer spending.
Al-Ruwaieh expressed his confidence in the festival's success in offering integrated and diverse activities that would attract various segments of society, each according to their interests. He emphasized the importance of maintaining collaborative relationships between the public and private sectors to support economic stimulation and develop local market capabilities.
He added that KFH's participation in the festival follows its successful contribution to the 26th Arabian Gulf Cup, Khaleeji Zain, which garnered significant attention and recognition from both official and public sectors. KFH's pavilion at the championship was a prominent feature, attracting youth, sports enthusiasts, and fans from Kuwait and the participating nations. This reflects KFH's commitment to actively participate in official events and activities, supporting all endeavors aimed at achieving success.
KFH’s partnership was unveiled at a ceremony held at Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center. The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Information, Culture, and State Minister for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, the Undersecretary of ministry of information, Nasser Muhaisen, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ziyad Al-Najem, Chairman of the Kuwait Shopping Festival, Faisal Al-Shaiji and the Festival’s CEO, Fadhel Al-Dousari, and other senior officials from both the public and private sectors.
