KUWAIT CITY, Sept 14: Kuwait Finance House (KFH) has launched its fourth edition of a tailored training program designed for students with special needs to develop their skills and enhance their expertise. The initiative highlights KFH’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and its dedication to empowering individuals of this special society segment. It also reflects the strategic partnership and collaboration between KFH and the Kuwait Society for the Handicapped (KSH).

Marked by the presence of trainees of special needs and their families, the launch event was held at KFH Auto eco-friendly showroom. Distinguished executives from KFH including KFH Group Chief Human Resources and Transformation Officer, Zeyad Abdullah AlOmar, Deputy General Manager Public Relations and Media, Yousef Abdullah Al-Ruwaieh, Deputy General Manager-Products, Nehal Almosalem, Executive Manager Credit and Charge Card Products, Talal AlArbeed, and Regional Manager, Abdulwahab Alshehab were in attendance, affirming the strategic importance of this initiative.

In his statement, KFH Group Chief Human Resources and Transformation Officer, Zeyad Abdullah AlOmar said: “It gives me great pleasure to welcome a new group of students in the fourth edition of KFH training program in collaboration with KSH. The first of its kind initiative reflects KFH’s dedication to providing an opportunity for students with special needs to engage with society, learn new skills and gain experience through direct interaction with employees and customers. It also enriches their knowledge through hands-on experience necessary to achieve their goals and contribute effectively to society. The program will include training hours in different departments including Human Resources, Branches, Credits, Products and more.”

He added: “At KFH, we are continuously committed to supporting individuals with special needs at all levels. This commitment is part of our ongoing strategy as a leading global Islamic financial institution. We pay close attention to the employment, training, and providing specialized services for this segment of society, including sign language-trained staff at our branches, designated parking spaces, wheelchairs, accessible entrances, ATMs equipped with accessibility features such as audio assistance, and Braille-printed account opening forms and contracts."

AlOmar emphasized that KFH has successfully integrated employees with special needs within its workforce in line with sustainability standards as well as inclusion and diversity principles. In 2023, KFH created a workspace equipped with all the necessary facilities to ensure comfort, safety, and ease of access for 234 employees with special needs across the Group.

He thanked the Kuwait Society for the Handicapped for their notable collaboration and expressed his appreciation to everyone involved in preparing and implementing this program, withing all participants continued success.
