KUWAIT CITY, Nov 28: In line with its leading role in social responsibility and community support, Kuwait Finance House (KFH) participated in the launching ceremony of the sixth edition of the national initiative, “Partners in Employing Them”, aiming to employ people with special needs and enabling them to join the labor market.

Under the patronage of Kuwait Minister of Social Affairs, Children and Family Affairs, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwaila, the inaugural ceremony was held in Kuwait University, in collaboration with the Public Authority for Disability Affairs (PADA).

Dr. Al-Huwaila commended KFH’s pioneering role in social responsibility and its keenness to take part in the state-wide initiative, “Partners in Employing Them”.

Meanwhile, KFH Executive Manager Corporate Relations and CSR, Faisal Alsurayye, said that KFH is committed to supporting the labor market and actively participating with State institutions, contributing to achieving common national economic development goals and motivating people with disabilities to work in the private sector. “These initiatives are significant in solidifying KFH’s track record of supporting people with special needs in different sporting, cultural and educational activities” he stated, “KFH also participates in different conferences and fairs addressing this special social segment and focusing on showcasing their abilities and skills.”

He added that KFH continues to support individuals with special needs at all levels. This commitment is part of its ongoing social responsibility and sustainability strategy. The Bank pays close attention to the employment, training, and providing specialized services for this segment of society, including sign language-trained staff at our branches, designated parking spaces, wheelchairs, accessible entrances, ATMs equipped with accessibility features such as audio assistance, and Braille-printed account opening forms and contracts.

Alsurayye pointed out that KFH made a successful impact in the previous editions of the Partners in Employing Them initiative. KFH is the first bank in Kuwait to launch a program designated for training people with special needs, providing an opportunity for students with special needs to engage with society, learn new skills and gain experience through direct interaction with employees and customers. The training program also enriches their knowledge through hands-on experience necessary to achieve their goals and contribute effectively to society. It includes training hours in different departments including Human Resources, Branches, Credits, Products and more.
