KFH Pledges KD 15 Million for Cardiac Diseases and Research Center at Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 27: Kuwait Finance House (KFH) Chairman, Hamad Abdulmohsen Al-Marzouq, expressed KFH's gratitude for the esteemed decision of Kuwait's Council of Ministers, approving KFH's pledge of KD 15 million to fund the creation and equipping of a dedicated cardiac diseases and research center at Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital.

Al-Marzouq extended his sincere appreciation to His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may Allah safeguard him, His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Prime Minister, Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, for their distinguished directives aimed at fostering cooperation between national and governmental institutions.

"This initiative, in line with national guidelines, underscores KFH's leading role in serving Kuwait. It reflects the bank's commitment to social responsibility by supporting crucial sectors like healthcare, education, the environment, and diverse community program," He added.

In partnership with the Ministry of Health and all relevant stakeholders, Al-Marzouq said that KFH will be responsible for the design, construction, and complete equipment of the center, ensuring it meets the highest standards. The center will be named the Kuwait Finance House Center. He expressed his confidence that the center would serve as a vital healthcare facility offering advanced medical services with state-of-the-art systems and devices.

Strategic Community Contributions

KFH boasts a strong track record of strategic community contributions. Most notably, the bank donated KD 8 million towards the reconstruction of the area damaged in the Al Mubarakiya fire incident. This site holds significant historical and cultural importance to Kuwait and its people.

Additionally, KFH has contributed KD 4.5 million to the establishment of the Addiction Treatment Center, and KD 20 million to develop 15 ambulance centers, strengthening Kuwait’s healthcare and medical infrastructure.

KFH also partnered with the Ministry of Justice to launch an initiative aimed at settling the debts of insolvent individuals facing legal action, with a contribution exceeding KD 20 million, benefiting around 10,000 indebted individuals.

Demonstrating its commitment to national well-being, KFH made a substantial contribution of KD 10 million to the government support fund during the COVID-19 pandemic. This initiative was supplemented by an additional, separate contribution from the bank.

KFH continues to play a leading role in supporting the community, evident through its contributions to KFAS, the national employment program, and the Institute of Banking Studies, demonstrating its strong commitment to social responsibility and creating a positive impact.
