KUWAIT CITY, Oct 31: Chief Executive Officer at Kuwait Finance House (KFH) Mazin Saad Al-Nahedh honored the Kuwaiti inventor Shaikha Al-Majed for her invention (pen for blind users). CEO awarded Al-Majed KFH’s Innovation Award expressing Bank’s recognition of Kuwaiti talents and the capacities of the youth. “Such inventions reinforce Kuwait’s civilizational role and its contributions in the service of mankind” added CEO.
Meanwhile, Al-Majed, who obtained patent certificate from the Patent Office in the USA for her invention (pen for blind users), expressed her gratitude to KFH for this impressive gesture. This initiative affirms KFH’s interest in science and in enhancing the level of competence in Kuwaiti youth. She stressed KFH’s keenness to recognize innovators’ efforts at all levels.
She added that her invention is a pen of normal size that works once pressing one’s thumb. It types letters on papers in a Braille system.
Moreover, Al-Majed demonstrated her invention at Expo Milano 2015 where it was entirely applauded by all visitors.
