KUWAIT CITY, July 9: Khaitan Club has signed Brazilian player Luis Fernando to bolster the team for the new season. Fernando marks Khaitan's first foreign player acquisition, while the technical staff, led by Romanian coach Florin Matrock, is currently reviewing several professional candidates to select the best fit for the team.

Notably, Khaitan released all its foreign players last season and is now seeking to attract higher-caliber talent before heading to their foreign camp in mid-July. Khaitan competes in the Premier League, having finished eighth in the standings last season.

In related news, Al-Fahaheel has strengthened its squad by signing former Khaitan goalkeeper Ahmed Al-Dosari on a free transfer for one year. Al-Fahaheel has also secured contracts with its foreign players, renewing deals with Brazilian strikers Vitor da Silva, Rodrigo Yuri, and William Barros, as well as Ivory Coast striker Ado Robben.

Additionally, Al-Fahaheel has signed Abdullah Mawi and Mishal Fawaz and renewed contracts with most of its local players, following the recommendations of their technical staff led by Syrian coach Firas Al-Khatib.
