KUWAIT CITY, Feb 1: Kuwait Club Chairman Khaled Al-Ghanim has taken responsibility for the medical treatment of Kuwait handball stars Saleh Al-Moussawi and Fawaz Al-Shammari after they sustained injuries during the 29th World Cup, which concludes this evening with the final match between Croatia and Denmark at the "Unity Arena" hall in Norway.

The Chairman and members of the Kuwait Handball Federation’s Board of Directors expressed their sincere gratitude to Al-Ghanim for his generous initiative in supporting the players' recovery following their injuries during the 2025 World Cup.

Meanwhile, two matches are scheduled today as part of the activation tournament for public handball teams. Fahaheel will face Al-Tadamon at 5:00 pm, followed by Al-Qurain against Al-Sulaibikhat at 6:30 pm. Both matches will take place at the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Complex Hall.

Al-Sulaibikhat currently leads the standings with 8 points, followed by Al-Qurain with 6 points. Fahaheel and Yarmouk each have 2 points, while Al-Tadamon and Al-Nasr remain at the bottom with no points.

The showdown between Al-Qurain and Al-Sulaibikhat is expected to be the most intense of the day. Al-Sulaibikhat aims to maintain its undefeated streak after winning all four of its previous matches, while Al-Qurain, having won all three of its games so far, seeks to secure a victory and join Al-Sulaibikhat at the top of the standings.
