Kuwait City, August 7: Kuwait International Bank (KIB) announced the relaunch of the field training and part-time work project for recent graduates, in collaboration with the Union of Consumer Co-Operative Societies. This initiative is part of the Bank’s social responsibility program and its strategy to play a role in training and qualifying national talents while contributing to the work of the sales and customer service sector within KIB's Retail Banking Department.

Commenting on the renewed program, Musab Al-Shalan, Deputy General Manager - Retail Banking Department at KIB, said: “We are proud to participate in offering this important training program for another year. We regard it as an outstanding opportunity for students and recently graduated Kuwaiti youth interested in receiving professional practical training and developing their skills in the banking sector. Over the course of 60 days, KIB will provide a monthly cash reward and performance incentives to the participating trainees, in addition to awarding them accredited certificates at the end of the program, proving their successful participation.”

Al-Shalan emphasized that fieldwork training will enrich the participants’ experience and develop their skills through practical application in the banking sector. During the training, they will benefit from the expertise of their colleagues and keep up with the latest professional job requirements, which help prepare them to embark on their journey in the private sector job market. Moreover, he pointed out that working in the banking sector will help young people develop their ideas, hone their abilities, and invest their immense energy, especially at the beginning of their professional careers.

On his part, Abdulaziz Al-Shammari, Head of Central Sales at KIB, said: “The field training project will help equip young national talents with strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, among other vital skills, to help them thrive in different banking sector specialties. This initiative aligns with the Bank’s vision to enable and encourage students and young graduates to join the banking field by paving the way for them to start a successful career built on solid foundations, making them invaluable to the sector.”

Al-Shammari further explained the qualification criteria required for the program, noting that participants include Kuwaiti nationals who are fresh university, college or high school graduates with a diploma certificate or high school degree. Those who wished to join the program submitted their applications at the headquarters of the Union of Consumer Co-Operative Societies.

It is worth mentioning that KIB spares no effort in participating in all community activities and events aimed at supporting Kuwaiti youth and enhancing the level of job opportunities available to them.
