Kidnapping Charge Filed Against Van Driver After ATM Dispute in Sulaibikhat

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 1: The Deputy Attorney General has directed the registration of a felony kidnapping charge against a "van" driver. The incident occurred when an expat public driver collided with a blue van in the Sulaibikhat area. Following the collision, the van driver forcibly ordered the victim to get into his vehicle, insisting on going to an ATM to withdraw money for repairs. When the ATM failed to dispense money, the driver allegedly assaulted the expatriate. A felony case under No. 90/2024 has been filed in connection with the incident.
