KUWAIT CITY, Jul 15: The Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) commenced its 45th summer training course on Sunday, welcoming 152 high school students and 47 university students at its main headquarters in Shuwaikh. The course will run until August 15.

Mona Al-Failakawi, Director of the Manpower Development Department at KISR, stated in a press release that the objective of these student courses is to inspire the younger generation to engage in scientific research.

Al-Failakawi detailed that the students were allocated to eight distinct scientific programs: microbiology, healthy food for a better life, birds in our lives and their languages, the program to make what we imagine, exploring the world of engineering, the world of nanotechnology, genetic engineering, and artificial intelligence applications.

Dr. Dalal Al-Baijan, Director of the summer course, emphasized the importance of students adhering to the rules and regulations to gain the maximum benefit and make the best use of their time.

This year, the course is sponsored by the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, the Ministry of Education, Kuwait University, and several private sector companies.
