Knife-Wielding Suspect Steals Cash and Goods from Mobile Grocery

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 29: Authorities in Jahra Governorate have launched an investigation to track down an unidentified suspect who robbed a mobile grocery worker at knifepoint and vandalized property before fleeing. The suspect is also linked to two other cases of theft and destruction of property, according to security sources.

The incident, classified as a felony under “Robbery with Assault,” was reported at the Mutlaa Police Station. The victim, a 30-year-old mobile grocery worker, stated that around 4 a.m., a black van with no license plates stopped in front of his store. The driver requested food supplies worth 10 dinars and initially paid for them. However, moments later, he exited the vehicle, held a knife to the worker’s neck, and demanded his money back. The suspect then proceeded to steal an additional 13 dinars from the store’s cash register, along with other food supplies.

Before escaping, the assailant threw the stolen goods on the ground and deliberately destroyed them. He then sped off in his vehicle toward an unknown destination. The police are currently reviewing the provided description of the suspect’s van and searching to apprehend him.

Authorities urge anyone with information related to the case to come forward.
