KNPC and KIPIC set to merge roles of officials

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 3 : Wadha Al- Khatib, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) and Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC), is currently working on merging the roles of officials with similar functions in the two companies. Sources revealed that as part of this initiative, Al-Khatib has appointed the Director of the Information Technology Group at KIPIC Ahmed Abdullah Al- Mulaifito also serve as director of the Information Technology Department at KNPC. Sources confirmed as well the appointment of Director of Training and Development at KIPIC Dhari Al- Gharaballi in the same capacity in the Training and Career Development Department at KNPC. These strategic appointments are based on the cooperation agreement that KNPC and KIPIC signed on May 11, 2024 in a bid to facilitate the integration process that Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) announced recently, sources said. Sources went on to say that the official merger related to the gas plants of Kuwait Oil Tankers Company (KOTC) will be announced soon. They affirmed that Al-Khatib is committed to enhancing the capabilities of the national workforce in both companies through intensive training programs, particularly on security and safety measures
