KUWAIT CITY, May 29: The Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) plans to put 25 projects under the company’s bidding plan for the current fiscal 2019/2020, reports Al-Anba daily quoting a KNPC official.

The company plans to start construction of the second batch of new gas stations over 50 years in addition to the demolition and reconstruction of 7 new gas stations for the company, noting that the company intends to float a contract for the fourth installment of the implementation of new stations.

The sources said that the company intends to launch the consultancy project for the new local marketing warehouse in Al-Mutla’a and the duration of which is 13 months, and the construction of a new building in the Shuwaikh area, in addition to maintenance of air conditioning units and miscellaneous equipment in the local marketing department.

The company plans to launch another huge contract that includes the implementation, construction and design of a pipeline to transport cooking gas from the Ahmadi refinery to the Umm Al-Aish area.

The project includes storage facilities for gas, pumps, instrumentation and control. Another project is to provide a feasibility study to address the problems (operational, maintenance and environmental) faced by refineries of cooking gas plants (unit 47/unit 72 including berth 14) and to develop a scope of work that would help increase the production capacity of the units for 25 years.

“There are other contracts related to the safety of the company’s pipelines, which link the company’s refineries with Ahmadi and Sabhan reservoirs, as well as consultancy services for the feasibility study of the surface drainage system and the alteration and modernization of the fence at Ahmadi and Mina Abdullah refineries,” the source added.
