KUWAIT CITY, Jan 8: About 50 tenders of the Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) have been submitted to the Central Agency for Public Tenders (CAPT) for offering or studying bids before final awarding to the winning companies. The number of tenders being offered is considered the highest since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country about two years ago, reports Al-Anba daily quoting informed sources from the oil sector.
They explained that KOC plans to increase spending on projects next year in order to meet the company’s obligations and maintain the production capacity of crude oil and gas in accordance with the 2040 strategy vision, which aims to produce 3.65 million barrels of oil per day and 1.5 billion cubic feet of non-associated petroleum gas. The number of tenders of KOC currently being submitted to the CAPT Board is 25.
