KUWAIT CITY, Dec 4: The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Kuwait celebrated the Korean Street Food Festival, in the presence of a remarkable number of young people and diplomatic community accompanied by the charming Korean music.

The evening was marked by the promotion of the most famous types of Korean dishes offered by a number of Korean restaurants and Kuwaiti volunteers. Speaking on the occasion, the Korean ambassador to Kuwait, HE Chung Byung-ha, said that food is a good way to bring people together and the best way to know their customs, pointing out that there is a large Kuwaiti turnout for this festival.

In a statement to reporters on the sidelines of the festival, Byung-ha said it is an opportunity for Kuwaitis who have traveled to Korea in the past to taste Korean food to feel close to it. He expressed his happiness with the participation of Kuwaitis in this festival, which indicates their love for Korean food.

He pointed out this event will be the last for this season, and “we will start again next February, indicating that this is the seventh time that the embassy has organized this festival in cooperation with the Korean-Kuwaiti Cultural Diwaniya, after the great success it enjoyed during the past years before the Covid-19 pandemic. This is in addition to the great demand by Kuwaiti youth to participate in their desire to learn new things about Korean culture,” he said.
