KUWAIT CITY, Nov 12, (Agencies): The Kuwait University Council has approved, in a meeting held today, Sunday, the registration of employed students without the requirement of academic leave or full-time dedication. This decision aligns with the Civil Service Council's resolution on this matter and will be implemented in the second semester.

Sources informed that the Kuwait University Council adopted the decision of the Cabinet and the letter from the Minister of Education and Higher Education and Scientific Research regarding the resolution of overlapping jurisdictions between Kuwait University, the Civil Service Bureau, and the Ministry of Finance. It outlines the responsibilities of Kuwait University in this regard and prohibits the issuance of financial regulations and decisions without first presenting them to the Ministry of Finance.

The sources also stated that the Council agreed to a proposal from the Deputy Director's Office of Scientific Affairs at the University regarding the amendment of the regulations for combating academic cheating at Kuwait University.

The Council also approved the proposal from the College of Education to establish an "Educational Technology" department. Additionally, it approved a memorandum from the College of Graduate Studies regarding the Master's program in Executive Leadership.

The sources continued to mention that the Council agreed to a proposal to suspend the transfer of the College of Architecture to the northern campus of the College of Life Sciences in Sabah Al-Salem University City. Instead, it will remain in its current location in the Adailiya campus in coordination with Abdulaziz Al-Saud University until the completion of the college's buildings in Sabah Al-Salem University City.

The sources stated that the Kuwait University Council approved the renewal of the appointment of some members of the academic staff. Dr. Hamoud Al-Qashaan was appointed as the head of the cultural office in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and Dr. Mohammed Al-Jarah was appointed as a cultural attache in Alexandria.

Furthermore, the Council approved promotions for several faculty members.
