KUWAIT CITY, April 7: Kuwait University (KU), under the patronage of KU President Dr. Dina Al-Mailem, hosted the second edition of its career fair at the College of Arts on Monday. The event was attended by 21 entities from both the public and private sectors.
In his opening speech, Dr. Jassim Al-Hamdan, Acting Dean of Student Affairs, highlighted that the fair was organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs as part of its ongoing commitment to preparing students for a successful future and enhancing communication between higher education institutions and the labor market.
Dr. Al-Hamdan explained that the event reflects the Deanship’s dedication to providing students with meaningful opportunities by connecting them with business organizations and institutions focused on employment and training. This, he noted, contributes to building a workforce capable of competing across various sectors.
He emphasized that Kuwait University constantly strives to develop its students' skills and abilities to keep pace with the evolving job market. This is achieved through career guidance programs, practical training, and strengthening community partnerships.
Dr. Al-Hamdan also pointed out that the career fair is not merely an annual event, but a valuable platform offering new opportunities and experiences. It serves as an excellent opportunity for students to meet industry experts, explore fields that match their skills and aspirations, and gain the confidence needed to move forward with determination and full preparation.
The exhibition will run for three days at the southern building of the College of Arts in Sabah Al-Salem University City. In addition to the 21 participating entities, the event will feature training workshops and specialized lectures aimed at equipping students with the knowledge and skills required for their future careers.
