KU launches 'Talents and Innovation Forum 2024' featuring 100 projects

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 12: The Deanship of Student Affairs at Kuwait University organized the first edition of the "Talents and Student Innovation Forum and Exhibition 2024" on Tuesday, under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nader Al-Jalal, with the participation of 100 innovative student projects, in collaboration with several government and private entities.

In his speech during the opening ceremony, the Dean of Student Affairs at Kuwait University, Dr. Jasem Al-Hamdan, stated that the forum and exhibition highlight students' creativity and talents in the field of sustainability, embodying the university's vision of providing an environment that fosters creativity and innovation, and equipping students with the necessary skills and knowledge for sustainable success.

Al-Hamdan praised the student projects participating in various scientific, artistic, literary, and investment fields, emphasizing that these projects are evidence of their excellence and distinction, and that they are capable of achieving further creativity. He added that investing in youth is an investment in the future, and supporting talented and innovative individuals is a national duty. He expressed pride in the students' achievements, which confirm the quality of education at the university.

He also thanked the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for his sponsorship, as well as the supporting entities, the organizing committee members, and the participating students. He affirmed that Kuwait University is committed to enhancing, developing, and nurturing student talents, working to provide everything they need to achieve their scientific and professional ambitions.

The two-day forum includes training workshops and lectures by prominent entrepreneurs and experts in the fields of empowerment, sustainability, and innovation, in addition to an exhibition showcasing promising Kuwaiti talents from Kuwait University students.

The forum is part of the university's efforts to achieve the "New Kuwait 2035" vision and sustainable development, which places youth at the core of the development process, aiming to build a generation of innovators and entrepreneurs capable of leading the development journey in Kuwait. (KUNA)
