He said, “If the world wants to witness a model of tolerance and acceptance, it should look to Kuwait and salute it for that.” Archbishop Bigol affirmed that people in Kuwait live together in mutual affection and peace, and offer prayers to the one God in an atmosphere of freedom and harmonious coexistence. He stated, “As we begin a new year in the journey of humanity, we pray for safety, peace, and stability in all the troubled regions of the world.” Archbishop Bigol also expressed gratitude for overcoming the challenging period of the pandemic, adding, “Even as the years pass, we continue to thank God for His blessings and mercy, for there is no gift greater than that which is given with sincere thanks.” Meanwhile, he said, “In our prayers, as in all our prayers, we ask God to grant success and guidance to our national leaders. The Bible instructs us to pray for kings and presidents in authority and people in leadership positions.”
Archbishop Bigol extended his best wishes to Egypt, Kuwait, and their people, expressing hope for prosperity and progress under the wise leadership of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, praying for God’s protection and care over them all. He also expressed his deep appreciation to the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah, as well as to the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Lieutenant General Sheikh Salem Al-Nawaf, and all the leaders, officers, and personnel of the Ministry of Interior, Public Security, Traffic, and Rescue services for their dedicated efforts in ensuring the security of the celebrations. Archbishop Bigol also thanked the Hawally Governor Ali Salem Al-Asfar, Director of Hawalli Security Directorate Brigadier Saleh Al-Azmi, and the Hawally Security personnel, along with all other sectors of the state and media agencies. He expressed his immense pride in the outpouring of love and friendship from those who offer their congratulations, and carry with them the authenticity and nobility of humanity. Archbishop Bigol highlighted the shared spirit that creates a sound, safe, and prosperous future for all.
