Kuwait affirms commitment to GCC cybersecurity cooperation at Doha Summit

DOHA, Qatar, Nov 4:  Retired Major General Engineer Mohammed Bouarki, the head of the Kuwaiti National Cybersecurity Center, emphasized Kuwait's commitment to strengthening cooperation and coordination in cybersecurity among Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. This statement was made during his participation in the third meeting of the Ministerial Committee for Cybersecurity of the GCC countries, which commenced on Nov 3 in the Qatari capital.

Bouarki stated that the meeting addressed several important topics and issues on the agenda that aim to enhance joint Gulf cooperation and coordination in cybersecurity by sharing experiences and insights to gain new perspectives in this area. He added that the fourth meeting of the Ministerial Committee for Cybersecurity will be hosted by Kuwait in September 2025 to build upon the outcomes of the current meeting and to further integrate security projects.
