KUWAIT CITY, Jul 19: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation announced on Friday that it had activated its business continuity plan in response to the global Microsoft outage that affected some flights at Kuwait International Airport.

In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the official spokesman for civil aviation, Abdullah Al-Rajhi, explained that the technical glitch in the global systems of some international companies directly impacted flight operating systems, resulting in disruptions to some flights at Kuwait Airport.

Al-Rajhi stated that coordination had been established with Kuwait Airways, Jazeera Airways, and other airlines operating at Kuwait International Airport, all of which adhered to the issued instructions.

"We assure all travelers that the Civil Aviation Authority is closely monitoring the situation with the relevant authorities, and any updates will be communicated immediately," Al-Rajhi said.
