KUWAIT CITY, Dec 10: Kuwait Airways announced on Tuesday the delivery of its first Airbus A330-900neo aircraft as part of its initiative to modernize its fleet with the latest models. This marks the first of seven A330-900neo aircraft that the airline plans to receive in the coming years, following its strategic aircraft delivery schedule.

Chairman of the Board of Directors Abdulmohsen Al-Faqan highlighted in a press statement that the new aircraft, arriving directly from Airbus' facility in Toulouse, France, represents a significant step toward Kuwait Airways' goals of expanding its global route network. He described the addition as a valuable enhancement to the airline's "Blue Bird" fleet, which will support operational growth.

Al-Faqan emphasized Kuwait Airways' commitment to ensuring passenger comfort and safety on every journey. The aircraft, he noted, continues the airline's efforts to elevate the quality of its services and diversify its air transport offerings.

The Board of Directors actively monitors the airline's fleet development plan to align with operational requirements and market demands. Al-Faqan affirmed that Kuwait Airways strives to enhance its system by introducing innovative services that cater to customer expectations for safe and comfortable travel experiences.

The new aircraft boasts advanced technology, an array of entertainment options, and environmentally friendly features, providing passengers with a modern and enjoyable travel experience. Kuwait Airways' current fleet includes 27 aircraft equipped with state-of-the-art technologies, comprising Boeing 777-300ER and Airbus models such as the A320neo, A330-800neo, and A320CEO.

Al-Faqan reiterated the airline's ongoing dedication to maintaining global aviation standards and meeting customer needs through continuous innovation and excellence in service.

Founded in 1953 as Kuwait National Airways Limited, Kuwait Airways launched its first flight on March 16, 1954. The Kuwaiti government assumed full ownership of the company in 1962.
