Kuwait Airways Revokes Travel Privileges for Retired Employees

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 27: The Board of Directors of Kuwait Airways, in its meeting No. 2024/22 held on December 8, 2024, decided to implement significant changes to travel and shipping privileges as part of cost-cutting measures. The decision, effective December 31, 2024, includes canceling travel ticket privileges for the Automated Systems Company and revoking travel benefits for retired Kuwaiti employees. Additionally, resolution No. 9 of 2002, which pertains to these privileges, has been annulled.
The move comes after reviewing the financial burden of these allocations, aiming to reduce expenses and align with public interest requirements. The Board clarified that any decisions conflicting with these new provisions will also be nullified. Captain Abdul Mohsen Salem Al-Faqan, Chairman of the Board, urged all concerned to review the decision and take necessary action promptly.
