KUWAIT CITY, June 20: Kuwait Airways has received the top award as the World’s Most Improved Airline by the international air transport rating organisation, Skytrax, specialized in the evaluation of airlines during the 2023 World Airline Awards which was held on the side-lines of the Paris Air Show.

The award was received by Kuwait Airways Chairman, Captain Ali Al-Dukhan, with the participation of the Chief Executive Officer of Kuwait Airways, Eng. Maen Razouqi and in the presence of various heads of international airlines and experts in the air transport industry. Kuwait Airways is proud to have achieved the 42nd rank for the year 2023 of the 50 best airlines around the world after it was ranked 76th for the year 2022 of the 100 best airlines around the world. Additionally, Kuwait Airways expects to make further remarkable progress in 2023 by the end of the year, befitting the national carrier of the State of Kuwait and will continue raising the expectations higher, to embrace new opportunities by investing in the service of the Blue Bird’s valued customers. The awards presented by Skytrax are independent and impartial where travelers across the world vote in the largest airlines passenger satisfaction survey to determine the award winners.
The 2023 awards were selected over the course of a year based on customer survey and questionnaire provided in English, French, Spanish, Russian, Japanese, and Chinese. Over 100 customer nationalities participated in this survey with 20 million eligible entries counted in the results. In addition, more than 325 airlines were featured in the final award results. On the sidelines of the honoring function, Kuwait Airways Chairman, Captain Ali Al-Dukhan stated, “We are proud to receive this prestigious accolade, that is awarded to Kuwait Airways, refl ecting the objectives set by the company’s Board Members and the relentless efforts of the employees in all the operational and support sectors of the company. This is a culmination of their diligent endeavours in developing the Blue Bird, as well as their dedication and commitment over the past years in achieving the desired objectives and enabling Kuwait Airways to achieve the best levels of excellence.”
Al-Dukhan added, “This award is according to the criteria specified by Skytrax and based on the extensive survey and evaluation carried out over several months. The entire operational system at Kuwait Airways was evaluated, commencing from reservations through the various sales channels (the company’s sales offices, website, electronic application), followed by completion of travel procedures at Terminal 4, including services at the check-in and baggage weighing area, all the way to boarding the aircraft and enjoying a comfortable and pleasant experience on board the latest fl eet of aircraft that are environmentally friendly and have modern technological features and facilities.” On his part, the Chief Executive Officer of Kuwait Airways, Eng. Maen Razouqi stated, “Kuwait Airways takes pride in receiving the Skytrax Most Improved Airline Award, which is a testament to our unwavering commitment and relentless efforts of all our employees in achieving the strategic objectives and vision for 2030, aimed at providing the best of customer experience.
