Kuwait Amir, Crown Prince receive Saudi FM and delegation

KUWAIT CITY, June 3: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al- Sabah received on Monday at Bayan Palace the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Al-Saud and his accompanying delegation on an official visit to Kuwait. He conveyed to His Highness, the greetings of the Saudi King Salman Bin Abdulaziz, and the Crown Prince, and Prime Minister Prince Mohammad Bin Salman, in which they wished His Highness further progress and prosperity to Kuwait and his people. His Highness expressed his utmost appreciation to the Saudi King Salman Bin Abdulaziz and the Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman for the heartfelt sentiments, and wished them good health and Saudi Arabia further progress and prosperity.

The meeting was attended the country’s top officials. Also on Monday, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al- Mubarak Al-Sabah received at Bayan Palace Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud and accompany delegation on occasion of official visit to the country. The Foreign Minister relayed to His Highness the Crown Prince the greetings and congratulations of Saudi’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al- Saud and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammad bin Salman Al-Saud on occasion of his appointment by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

The Saudi sovereigns wished His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince good health, and the people of Kuwait lasting progress and prosperity under their wise leadership. His Highness the Crown Prince conveyed his greetings to King Salman and the Crown Prince, wishing them good health and the people of Saudi further development and prosperity. Senior offi- cials attended the meeting. Saudi Arabia Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al-Saud arrived in Kuwait in official visit on Sunday. Kuwaiti Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya received the Saudi minister and his accompanying delegation.

Meanwhile, a joint coordination committee linking Kuwait and Gulf Arab neighbor Saudi Arabia held a new round of talks on Monday, which produced three fresh agreements aiming to keep bilateral relations on an upward trajectory. The talks, presided over by Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya and his Saudi counterpart Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud, delved into bilateral relations and the progress ties have seen across a myriad of fields, said a foreign ministry statement. Kuwait and Riyadh, amid the session, clinched a memorandum of understanding dealing with the mutual recognition of seafarers’ certificates, in addition to another pair of similar agreements over environment conservation and diplomatic cooperation, respectively, added the statement.
