KUWAIT CITY, Feb 8: The Kuwait veterans’ football team resumed training today at the Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium's subsidiary field, preparing for the Gulf Cup Legends Championship scheduled in Kuwait from February 20 to 24.
Team director Muhammad Binyan announced that Coach Muhammad Ibrahim selected 20 players for the tournament roster, including:
Ahmed Ajab, Obaid Al-Shammari, Badr Haji, Ahmed Jassim, Nawaf Al-Khaldi, Hussein Hakim,
Jamal Mubarak, Hussein Fadel, Fahad Awad, Muhammad Jarrah, Yaqoub Al-Taher, Nahir Al-Shammari, Saleh Al-Buraiki, Walid Ali, Malik Al-Qallaf, Abdulrahman Al-Musa, Jarrah Al-Atiqi, Nawaf Al-Mutairi, Khaled Khalaf, Faraj Lahib
The delegation also includes:

The Gulf Cup Legends Championship aims to celebrate Gulf football heritage by featuring prominent former football stars from the region. The tournament was initially planned to coincide with the 26th Gulf Cup but was rescheduled to align with Kuwait's annual national festival in February.
The Vice President of the Oman Football Association, Mohsen Al-Masroori, emphasized that the Legends Championship provides an opportunity for former players to reunite and relive memories, highlighting the tournament's positive moral message and the importance of maintaining connections between generations.
