Kuwait authorities arrest Kuwaiti citizen with cocaine, hashish, Lyrica and firearms

KUWAIT CITY, Sep 6: The Criminal Security Sector, represented by the General Department for Drug Control’s Local Control Department, arrested a citizen accused of possessing various narcotic and psychotropic substances, a firearm and ammunition for trafficking.

The arrest followed investigations that confirmed the suspect’s involvement in possessing the seized materials for trafficking. He was apprehended inside a stable he had rented in the Farwaniya stables area. Security personnel also searched another location in the Abdullah Al-Mubarak area.

Items seized during the operation included:

Approximately 300 grams of cocaine
Approximately 250 grams of hashish
Around 3,500 Lyrica capsules
Approximately 1,000 sheets of paper saturated with chemicals used in synthetic drugs
Around 50 grams of methamphetamine
One pistol and ammunition
Four precision weighing scales

The suspect and all seized items were referred to the competent authorities for legal action.

Authorities also found that the stable had been rented and used in violation of its designated purpose. The property owner is being summoned, while the relevant authority has been contacted to begin procedures to repossess the stable.

The Ministry of Interior stressed that any property proven to have been used for purposes other than those for which it was designated will be subject to repossession, with legal measures taken against the violators.
