Kuwait authorities bust large-scale residency fraud ring

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 28: The Ministry of Interior announced today the arrest of a gang involved in a large-scale residency fraud operation. The General Department of Residence Affairs Investigations apprehended several individuals who were allegedly running fictitious companies and forging official documents to facilitate illegal residency permits.

According to the ministry's statement on their social media account, the gang charged between 300 and 500 Kuwaiti dinars per worker for their services. The investigation also uncovered that the group illegally transferred workers already in the country to these fictitious companies.

The accused have been referred to the competent authorities for legal action. The Ministry of Interior emphasized its commitment to firmly applying the law without exception, stating that security forces remain vigilant against anyone attempting to violate Kuwait's laws.

This case highlights ongoing efforts by Kuwaiti authorities to combat residency fraud and maintain the integrity of the country's labor market and immigration system.
