KUWAIT CITY, March 24: Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Kuwait Emil Karimov affirmed that his country’s relations with Kuwait are strategic and progressing at a rapid and advanced pace at all levels. In a press statement on the sidelines of the Iftar he hosted recently; Karimov said the official and public relations between the two countries are strong and deep in political, cultural, religious, and other fields. He pointed out “There has been remarkable development in our bilateral relations. The first round of political consultations between the two countries was held at the beginning of this year.” He revealed that his country’s foreign affairs minister will head the delegation to the third session of the Joint Bilateral Committee, which will be held on April 29.
He also cited the first-of-its-kind visit of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah to Azerbaijan to attend the Climate Conference held in the capital, Baku, last year, which he affirmed was a success. He added the meeting between His Highness and Azerbaijani President strengthened the friendly relations between the two countries. He reiterated that his country welcomes Kuwaiti tourists; disclosing that more than 31,000 Kuwaitis visited his country last year. He affirmed the presence of infrastructure to receive Kuwaiti tourists; and that his country has many cities and tourist sites, in addition to the availability of direct flights.
